Essential Guide to Starting a Business

Our unique SFEDI mapped Training programme has been specifically developed to offer a practical and action oriented course that offers guidance to empower individuals with the ability to launch their own businesses.

This course will help you understand all the basic underpinning knowledge and practical experience you will need to help you start up in business.

The training programme is broken down into 6 modules and is designed to be flexible to allow you to attend any or all of the training you require. Completion of all 6 modules does however, entitle you to receive a certificate stating that you have completed this programme which reflects your overall achievement and is particularly useful in presenting along with your business plan, when applying for commercial finance or funding. This program is SFEDI (Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative) mapped.

This programme schedule is over 4 days (two days per week for 2 weeks) 9.30am to 4.00pm, or 6 evenings (one evening per week for 6 weeks) 6.00pm to 9.00pm here at Albion House on the second floor. Lunch (day course) and hot & cold drinks are provided.

Session 2: Who will buy and how will I know?
Session 3: What do I need to do for my business to start?
Session 4: Money - How much, where from and where does it go to?
Session 5: Planning for profit
Session 6: You and your customer

Attending our training programme is just the start of your support here at SENTA. We then offer you continued business counselling sessions on a one-to-one basis to discuss your individual needs and give further help, advice and support to get you started.

And there's more... Once you have registered your business with us, you can continue with our programme of aftercare, which offers continued monitoring through courtesy calls and further appointments with a business advisor if you wish, plus a range of interesting and enjoyable workshops/seminars to help you and your business succeed. Aftercare is for 2 years and you will be glad to hear that all of this is completely FREE OF CHARGE!
