Tristan is SENTA of attention!
An award winning young entrepreneur from Sheffield has pushed the envelope with his greeting card display product, thanks to help from the Sheffield Enterprise Agency (SENTA).
Tristan Cowell, aged 25, was awarded the accolade of Shell Livewire Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Yorkshire and Humberside due to the success of his business, IC Innovations.
Tristan explained: “I approached SENTA for advice in the very early stages of establishing IC Innovations after the agency was recommended to me by Business Link South Yorkshire.
“SENTA offered me advice on every aspect of my business including company formation, packaging design and trade marking. They provided me with a very good sounding board.”
Tristan’s business IC Innovations is a specialist product design company encompassing product development from an initial concept to production and supply to retailers. ‘Card Hang Ups’ greeting card display product has been very successful and he has now secured deals with many of the most trusted names in British retailing.
SENTA advised Tristan to enter the Shell Livewire awards and following his award, he went on to represent the region at the national finals. He said: “The agency suggested that I enter the awards, so I am pleased that their recommendation paid off!
“I was very pleased to win the award as it’s nice to receive recognition for all the hard work I have put into the business. I was immensely proud to be representing the region at the national finals at Claridge’s Hotel in London.”
Tristan added: “The advice and help I received from SENTA has really helped me to clarify the direction of my company.”
Sheffield Enterprise Agency (SENTA) is part of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and provides fully integrated support to new business start-ups and businesses up to two years old.
Its start-up programme is funded by Yorkshire Forward under contract with Business Link South Yorkshire.
