Plastics are go!
A UPVC builder’s merchant in Sheffield is all systems go, thanks to receiving some expert business advice.
Plastics-2-Go Ltd, based at Newhall Industrial Estate on Sanderson Street, provides UPVC products to the building trade, including fascias, soffits, gutters and conservatories.
Established in December 2004, the company now employs five members of staff and has launched a sister company, The Fascia and Soffit Company.
Managing Director of Plastics-2-Go, Andrew Hawley, received advice and guidance from the Sheffield Enterprise Agency (SENTA) when he established the company and has watched his business go from strength to strength.
Said Andrew: “A couple of years ago I saw an advert showcasing SENTA’s business advice for new businesses and deciding to give them a call. I am so glad I did, as my business has benefited from the sound advice that I have received.
“New businesses are very hard to establish and having SENTA on board really helped us get through those early teething problems.
“We were allocated a business advisor, who understood our business aims and needs and assisted us with company branding, marketing and staff training.
Plastics-2-Go’s success prompted Andrew to establish The Fascia and Soffit Company last year. The company fits fascias, soffits and guttering for the retail market across the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire area.
SENTA is part of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and provides fully integrated support to new business start-ups and businesses up to two years old.
Its start-up programme is funded by Yorkshire Forward under contract with Business Link South Yorkshire.
“Our philosophy is that the customer is key and with one-to-one meetings between myself and our SENTA Business Advisor, I really felt like my business was important to SENTA as well.”
